Meet Julie Begbie
Founder & AI strategy lead
Julie is the founder of The Happy AI Company, a Google AI Trainer, Occupational Psychologist and Happiness Psychologist.
Originally from Belfast, Julie has called Edinburgh home since her early twenties.
She began her career in banking and investment before becoming a serial entrepreneur, building businesses including a garden plaques company, a hypnotherapy centre, a training consultancy, a jewellery business, a business mentoring practice and, most recently, The Happy AI Club, where she has helped hundreds of business owners embrace AI with confidence.
With more than 30 years of experience helping businesses and organisations embrace change, Julie combines psychology, business strategy and AI to create practical solutions that genuinely make life easier.
She believes AI shouldn't replace people.
It should simply give every business owner another pair of hands.

Mark has spent more than a decade helping businesses grow by building trusted relationships and understanding the challenges they face every day.
As an international rugby player, teamwork, resilience and delivering results have been at the heart of everything he's done.
After years of working alongside business owners, Mark is excited by how practical AI can now solve many of the same challenges he's been helping businesses overcome for years.
Whether it's reducing admin, responding to enquiries faster, creating better systems or freeing up valuable time, Mark enjoys helping businesses discover what's possible before introducing the right AI solution.
Working across Edinburgh, the Lothians, the Borders and Central Scotland, Mark is often the first person businesses meet. He takes the time to understand how each business works, what challenges they face and where AI can make the biggest difference.
